It seems just about every year right around this point, we decide to change gears and move in new directions. Starting in the summer of 2009, a small group of contributors (but mainly just one) joined together to start this site for the purpose of sharing opinions and thoughts on various styles of music. In 2011, we began hosting small, carefully curated concerts in Brooklyn and New York and later expanded to host shows in our hometown of Toronto. Now split between the two cities, we are making perhaps our biggest change to date as we enter the fourth year of this site’s existence.
Some of you may have already noticed that the name Dog Gone Blog is no longer. The term “blog” just didn’t seem to encompass all of the various things we are doing, so we’re changing that part of the name. Going forward, Dog Gone Blog will be known as Dog Gone Presents. That doesn’t mean that the “blog” side is done. You can still count on us for daily MP3s, videos, interviews, artist contributions and the like on an even more consistent basis.
I’d like to thank all of our readers and supporters, especially those who have been with us since day one. You can expect a great deal more from Dog Gone Presents in the following year, including a new site and a new team of contributors. I promise this to be the best version of Dog Gone to date!
Have a great day and, once again, thank you.
